Privacy & Image Use

Consent is more than a signature. It is an ongoing responsibility to consider who is pictured, where an image will appear, and whether publication is truly necessary.

Children stay private

Identifiable photographs of babies and minor children are not displayed in public galleries, portfolios, or social-media promotion.

Private delivery continues

Families still receive their photographs through access-controlled client galleries. Private delivery is separate from public publication.

Adult permission remains separate

Adults continue to choose whether their own photographs may be used publicly. That choice never authorizes publication of a child’s image.

Dignity before promotion

Images are reviewed for context, identifying details are minimized, and a photograph is not published merely because a broad release might permit it.

Children’s images

A stricter standard for public photographs

As of September 2, 2026, identifiable photographs of babies and minor children will not be displayed in Anwen Thomas Photography’s public website galleries, portfolio, or social-media promotion. This applies even when permission had previously been granted.

Photographs of children may still be created for families and organizations and delivered privately through access-controlled client galleries. They will not be used for public promotion, paid advertising, licensing, sale, model training, or synthetic or generative-AI use.

Child photographs that appeared publicly before this policy change were shared under the standards and permissions in effect at that time. Their prior appearance does not represent the current policy.

Images are being removed from channels under Anwen’s control. Previously indexed, shared, archived, downloaded, or third-party-copied material may not be fully retractable.

Private galleries

Client galleries use access controls intended for private delivery. Clients should share gallery access only with trusted recipients and should not upload delivered photographs to generative-AI systems for alteration, training, or synthetic-image creation.

Personal information

Contact, booking, contract, payment-status, questionnaire, and gallery information is used to provide requested services, communicate with clients, maintain business records, and protect access to private materials. It is not sold as a marketing list.

Editorial and documentary work

Public events and documentary assignments can involve additional people whose rights cannot be granted by a single client. Context, reasonable expectations of privacy, organizational permissions, and the dignity of those pictured are considered before publication.
